They feel like they're trying to do a realistic space show, but put in none of the homework. The plot could have been held together with a lot of constant problems they face while traveling and need to fix to not die. But all the problems I've seen so far dont feel realistic at all. Like solar panel doesn't deploy correctly and nasa has to cut communications and figure out a solution? That exactly the kind of thing nasa in real life would have planned for. There would be a 20 page procedure written incase the solar panel didn't open correctly. And they die without that solar panel? Nasa would never create a mission where one damaged panel would scrub a mission. I gave up in the second episode because it felt too much like some people got together and went "people like space and Mars let's throw something together for that demographic"
