I’ve read the books and played Witcher 3.
I feel they have done a fabulous job of recreating the mood, atmosphere and culture of the series with surprising accuracy. It’s always difficult to take written word that has no barriers and even games which are unlimited by real life constraints and bring it alive as a series and they have done beyond what I expected.
Acting is outstanding. Again surprisingly so. People who ‘state’ that it is poor or overacted should simply look elsewhere as it’s entirely appropriate for this genre but not for them.
I can see how it’d be confusing for those without a background In book or game but if that’s the case, either try to pick it up or again look elsewhere. It doesn’t make it bad it’s just you don’t get it.
Overall a fantastic compelling and well crafted start. I hope we see season after season. Great stuff!!
