One of my all time favorites from the 70’s jazz era. This project was done on the CTI labels and was for a short period known for their allstar lineup of jazz musicians of the day! White Rabbit was heavily influenced by Spanish music and the instrumental arrangements were superb. I think Don Sebesky did the arrangements as he did on several CTI recordings. This is classic jazz guitarist Benson prior to him going mainstream with a pop flavored jazz genre. There is also a cut featuring the then only 17 years old, Earl Klugh. The Spanish influence reminds me of Sketches of Spain by Miles Davis! A must add to your collection and playlist!
