After seeing Horizon I am seriously wondering if this movie is a social experiment being played on the general public to see how many people will consistently watch a movie that makes very little sense to the average person.
I understand the gist of it, I get that it all centers around Horizon, the town, and I am assuming after a couple more chapters that will become clear, however, there is no chance to really give a damn about any of the characters because we go from storyline to storyline with no real sense of who they are and what their story is. If you cannot develop a sense of the character, you cannot feel for them, and in turn the movie just does not resonate.
It seems like Kevin had a great idea in his head, but his transference to the screen is lacking.
This would have been much better on a streaming service. Person after person leaving the theater were talking to each other about being confused, and wasting 3 hours of their lives.
I am sure eventually most of this will work itself out in the coming chapters. I just hope he can afford to finish them, because at this rate sales are bad, people are not happy and I don’t know if it will get better. I’m guessing less and less people will go to the next chapters.
