Wasn't sure what to make of it after the first episode but glad I stuck with it. Pushed me to my limit pretty much at times ( in that I don't care for violence on TV). I can understand why this is Marmite, but it was in my opinion brave of the BBC to air this, original and helped by a measure of levity on occasion.

I ultimately found this very tedious. What set out as a cracking read had me skim reading the final 50 pages or so, desperate to get to the end and move onto a better novel. I would say though that the prosect of the world as we know it coming to an end was brought real in the earlier parts of the book. If only the plot lines and dialogue could have lived up to the general idea of the story.
