While I do agree with everything said in this documentary, I'm afraid some people are getting social media applications confused with other software applications. I am a software developer, and work for a company to make their private websites used by workers in the field. The applications we make help their jobs move faster, and help with unnecessary errors. They are not "social media" platforms. Not all applications are bad, not all technology is bad. The problem with social media is the business model. They make money from advertisers to fund their application, which turns the user into the product. My company makes money with a service provided, and budgets resources for an IT team to make their applications. We are not sitting around thinking "how can we make our workers use the app more?" We are sitting around asking, "how can we make this application help our workers be more efficient?"
