Obviously this cast is star studded, but I think what is so impressive about this show is that the writers are able to portray the male characters as extremely captivating yet stunningly mediocre at the same time, which is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before on TV, and it’s honestly unbelievable how well it works.

I am not a huge horror fan but this series is definitely in my top 5 favorites. It’s a genre bending masterpiece! I watched it during Halloween and can’t stop repeat watching because it is such a complex narrative that it’s so easy to miss things. Even with the nonlinear narrative, each scene flows seamlessly into the next that you almost always know where you are in the story. Episodes 5 and 6 are especially well thought out and executed. Overall, it’s an excellent story about family, trauma, love, loss, and grief, and it’s lessons are life lessons that will stay with me forever.
