I’ll tell you this much... as a recovering fentanyl/heroin addict, there’s no way Kurt would have been physically able to inject that much heroin into himself, neatly put away his drug supplies, take a large shotgun, position it and then shoot him self. He would have been in the process of dying immediately after shooting that heroin into his vein.
