Am I the only one who feels that the movie is good but somewhere the character of Jaya Bacchan could have been treated much better? Somewhere I feel this because that character is somewhat like my expired grandfather.
Let's throw some light on the shortcomings:
1. Mr tijori was forced by Jaya to not have a good relationship with his father. Doesn't he have his own brains? He was mature enough to what relations he should make with his father or wife or children.
Blaming her for this does not feel good. It's the same as blaming our parents for all the traumas in life.
2. Mrs. Tijori had excellent vocals but could not pursue her career due to a lack of support. Nevertheless, in the midst of a tiff where Rocky was having a spat with his father for Alia's misbehavior, Mrs tijori poor pragmatics made them watch her audition.
Like... wow...wth?
I feel in plenty of households in India, pursuing singing and dancing is still considered backward. Mrs. Jaya was raised in such a household and her backlash for such art is justifiable.
3. Mrs Jaya put her heart and soul to grow their business. She may be a bad wife, a bad mother, and worst grandmother but she was an excellent businesswoman with sharp brains. What she had given to the family was incomparable. She deserved a better ending.
I just feel so .
