Couldn’t stop crying. Don’t take massive expectations for this film into the cinema while watching this movie. It’s not a true depiction of her life or based on true events. It’s just a story which has some true elements in it. The story takes place over the course of 3 days; Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day. Can’t remember the last time I cried so much while watching a movie. Probably 12 Years A Slave. Even though Spencer is nothing like that, obviously, there just is something about this movie that will get to you if you are sad or damaged. I literally couldn’t stop crying. Definitely a must watch according to me. However, with that been said it’s 100% not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s literally either a hit or miss for people. For me, personally, it was a massive hit. Will definitely watch it again in the cinema and then many times on Apple TV later on days when I just need to release my emotions. There’s an unsaid emptiness about this movie through the character of Diana. And if you don’t understand that emptiness then I’m glad you don’t. It’s not good to connect with emptiness. But this movie truly is utterly good. It kept on getting progressively good as we as viewers started to understand Diana’s character.
