The book starts off pretty well and has a well-executed exposition, as well as a stellar rising action. However, from there, the book descends into a deep bore. Frankenstein does a complete UNO reverse and becomes the most tedious and dull novel ever written, with things becoming more slow each chapter (especially in Volume 2). I had hoped the ending would make up for the monotonous majority of the book that had brought nothing but sleep and an uncaring attitude from me, but I was severely mistaken. The ending had to be the most abysmally underwhelming ending I have ever read. It wasted so much potential and makes the rest of the book useless as it was in no way significant or left a strong impression. The entire novel of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is almost complete garbage and a waste of ink.
