Other than the title and a Navy Seal character, nothing had anything to do with the book. It's too bad as the book would have made a great movie, but Hollywood and/or Amazon thought they could write a better story. Maybe these writers should try to write a book rather than butching someone else's work. And yes, the movie was horrible.

Horrible acting, horrible story line, and just a horrible waste of time. As a son of a "real" NYC Fireman, I found this show an insult to the brave men and women that actual risk their lives for us, as well as the dedicated men and women of EMS. Hollywood please wake up and start putting shows on the people will watch. As for me, I'll switch over to Prime, Showtime, Netflix,...or just read a book.

Really wanted to like this show. I like many of the main actors, but I just can’t watch the rest of season 2. I could express my opinions but I think it is better for you to watch it and decide for yourself. I had to tap out after the Fishes episode. I found the family unlikeable, the character’s unbelievable and the whole episode as all the episodes the actors have to over act to try to make a boring story interesting. But then again this is my opinion.
