I am dumbfounded by the negative reviews. This was an absolutely engulfing experience. It is shocking and disturbing, but that is intentional. Every shot was impactful. You see the action first hand through the eyes of the journalists and experience the reverberating impact their shots have on them and the war has on the people. I cannot wait to watch it again!!

And Netflix managed to COMPLETELY ruin Inej’s character. When she said she wanted Kaz without armor… she didn’t mean physical touch which she also has an aversion to as she was forced into the menagerie, but to him shielding his emotions. Kaz and Inej were ruined in one single line. Not to mention to Toyla implications. I was on board with all of the creative liberties until that moment. It sucks when there are screen adaptations that do not stay true to the characters created by authors. If there is a season 3… you lost me. This turned into a bad fan fiction which is disappointing because I loved season 1. I am going to go read the books again so I can enjoy the real story that Leigh Bardugo blessed the world with.

I loved the movie. I have two daughters, 10 & 16 and had no problem with the content. The movie was beautiful. I loved the save the earth message. I couldn’t believe there were so many 1-star reviews. I thought it was FANTASTIC! Keep being inclusive Disney. 🥰
