If what you're looking for is copious gore, this movie delivers. If what you're looking for is the brilliant blend of creepiness and off-the-wall humor of the Rami movies, which is arguably what makes Evil Dead what it is in the first place, this movie is a huge disappointment. It's so generic it could literally have been called anything else and nobody would've noticed any similarities with the ED franchise. Not scary, not even creepy; just one of the most boring horror movies I've seen in years.
