Overall kind of a fun movie i guess. Decent for a low budget film. Plot is basically some commentary on class struggle or "rich/old vs. poor/young". So just ignore the marxist bent and symbolism if possible, and enjoy it as just another wacky movie with a hip hop soundtrack.

Elitist Jay Jarmusch plays pretentious practical joke on, and at the expense of, zombie movie fans - aided by his superfamous leftist Hollywood buddies... The message Jay sends to the masses: "You materialistic consumerist sheep! YOU are the real zombies! Instead of watching this boring pointless movie I tricked you into consuming, you should have been paying attention to the environment instead! Muahahahaha" Total waste of time if you were hoping for a good ol' legit horror/comedy. Movie pretends to be what it's not, in order to send a message you didn't ask to receive. If i had wanted to be lectured by a bunch of preachy socialists, I'd be better off going back to university instead. Absolute cancer on this noble genre. If you are forced to watch: make sure to get it on free cable or streamed through WiFi, while sipping chardonnay, eating Skittles and burning coal - just to spite the overt messaging this piece of anti-capitalist propaganda crams down your throat.
