Deborah Dove (Blue Chicory)

I've only see the film so far. I am going to read the book it should be good.

The scariest book that I have read as an adult and I am 67. Well written.

I couldn't have stayed with this man as long as his wife did,he criticized he parenting skills the one time he went to a Church function, he was absent and the one time his poor wife asked him to watch his kids he acts like a baby because he had poison ivy and wants a divorce, he knew it was over...however he never came home for days without even calling. Suddenly with the divorce he is a wonderful father that spends time with his children... I had my suspicions about the new female at work all along. It is an interesting book but he ruins it with his personal excuses.

It was difficult to get even part of the way through the audio book. The characters were pretty much all super stereotypes of poor Appalachian people. The story was super boring.

It was interesting and kept me reading. Not over the top word wise and phrase wise, just a well written story that I couldn't wait to finish but didn't want to end.
