Peter Ogilvie

I’ve read the Silmarillion, the main trilogy as well as the other auxiliary books. I love Tolkien’s creativity and his ability to create worlds that feel larger than life; with all their idiosyncrasies, lore and beautiful detail. It’s hard to watch this movie and not compare it to Peter Jackson’s masterpieces. And it’s hard to watch an entity like Amazon play with stories you’ve grown up on. I will say that for all the negative press this show has gotten, it’s not that bad. Peter Jackson isn’t Infalible, but he gets a lot of things right when it comes to fantasy. I haven’t written off this series yet, but it feels a little flat so far, however I’m definitely going to be watching more. Also on a small detail that may be a bit nit picky, but all the elves have short hair, I can’t remember any of the elves in the lord of the rings having short hair. Galadriel is awesome, I’m loving the Legolas style elven action, can’t wait to see more of that.
