The Sci-Fi was great. The character interaction and development was great. The preacher was awesome. Everything I was hoping for and more from the trailer. I also never expect movies to be exact representations of the books they are based on because the detail necessary to depict a book is never available in 2 hours. My only disappointment is actually how big the disparity is between my enjoyment of the movie and the review scores from critics. It seems that critics are looking for some exotic life-changing revelation to assign their review scores these days. Its quickly becoming apparent that it has to be some Sundance movie (that isnt really good but exotic in theme) to get a decent score.
