This is one of the best childhood shows your kids can ever watch and enjoy.
However I'd recommend the following seasons.
Season 1 - 8
Season 17 - 21
Every other season really doesn't live up to expectations or are down right weird, especially the newer ones.
But there are plenty of fan made episodes that fans and children can enjoy as well!

This is probably the best incarnation of TMNT. I love how it has a mixture of comedy, thrill, action, character development and emotion.
I found the turtles relatable and unique in their own way. My favourite turtle is Leo. Shredder in this show felt more scarier than any other version I've seen. The Kraang felt like a good mixture of comedy and intimidating.
The cast does stellar work voicing their characters.
My only complaints are that I didn't like how Splinter was killed near the end and that I found Season 5 to be a bit confusing.
I would highly recommend this show to anyone interested.
Side notes:
I honestly like Mona Lisa in this incarnation better than any other before.
I loves all the guest appearances (David Tennant as the Fugitoid)
Leo X Karai and Donnie X April are my favourite ships.
