A good representation about India's independence through the eyes of a young girl. I like how it explains everything in a good manner and its a real page turner. Even though its fiction , you cant say that it doesn't feel real.
However the ending does feel like its been left as a cliffhanger . An the start I did not like the book because it felt to me that the girl had a lot of pride when she talked about her caste but thankfully she stops that and no longer feels much pride. An excellent book.
Moral of the story: Stick To Your Principles Even If They Get You Killed.
