Campy horror film beautifully acted with best horror music ever

Cleverly Creative violence plus best chase scenes ever make this a gripping and fun watch.

This was a nail digging , nail biting film, with brilliant acting, clever dialogue , and twists that spin your head around.

Far too surreal for me to take seriously. This is a love it or hate it movie. The acting is splendid. But the movie tried waaaaay too hard to be eccentric or edgy. I’m in the hate it camp. Queen Anne could win an Oscar for best actress but please nooooo for best picture. Just plain weird and I’m weird

Too much time spent on the buildup. Except for Viola, the female characters lack depth, heft — except the driver, who is brought in too late in the movie. The dog was a distraction. There was not an ounce of of comic relief. Robert Duvall played his normal, yelling, spitting mean guy— stereotypical Duval. I give the the movie a C - Disappointing. Viola is powerful as always. Not worth the time, though.
