Cora Jeyadame

This is one of my favorite picture books of all time as both a mother and a literacy specialist. It is a non-preachy way to explore gender roles through the ridiculousness of two worms who love each other being forced to choose who is the bride and who is the groom and all the trappings that go with those roles. It has as light touch and kids adore both the prose and the illustrations.
