Honestly have I found series lacking in depth. Each episode has left me feeling as though I've been watching the Readers Digest version of an otherwise great series of cottage mystery novels. The cast was well chosen and the portrayal has been good, yet sadly the viewer never gets to know or care about the characters and their relationships; each one of them with their own fun & unique set of qualities and flaws. This series really could have been so much more; having read the novels I know that the material was certainly all there... if only they'd used it.
