I was a skeptic at first. I thought it was a cheesy hallmark-type series. However, I was very wrong. You get addicted to the gripping storylines, and you find yourself watching entire seasons in one day. It is just so wonderfully acted. Jack, Doc, Mel, Preacher, Hope, Lilly, and Brady are amazing and dynamic characters. If you find yourself bored with the first few episodes, hang in there it gets really good. I am so glad I gave this series a chance. Also, there is great attention to detail with the beautiful scenery that it has made me want to visit Vancouver, British Columbia. The show also tackles some hard life topics like PTSD, addiction, co-parenting, child loss, high-risk pregnancies, and death. Highly Recommend. Also, Brady and Preacher are really nice to look at. The only gripe I have is how many times they break HIPPA but it is just a TV show.

I will try to give a review that does not spoil too much. This movie was well written, wonderfully acted, and had a stylish direction. The best-fitting actors were chosen for each roll. I do not think it dragged on at all. I just think this movie is not for everyone. This isn't a marvel movie or blockbuster there is not going to be "action". The characters are not meant to be likable in my opinion. There isn't a character we are "rooting for" these are manipulators, con-artists, and swindlers. Even Molly made bad decisions in this film though it seems she is supposed to be a protagonist who is easily manipulated. I think Cate Blanchette was a stand-out and cunning and maniacal psychiatrist. It was interesting as someone who works in that field how psychological tools can be used for evil. I believe it is a movie that challenges our minds and we have to watch the story unfold and think about why people make the choices they do. Some parts were predictable and some were not. It also taught a major lesson to never be too cocky. and self-indulgent because that can lead to your downfall. Beautiful movie and one of the best I have seen in a while. Think - inception meets American horror story I will have to read the novel now.
