I truly enjoyed the movie. The one thing about the franchise, it doesn’t pretend to be deep thought provoking commentary on American life and policing. It is a shoot em up bang buddy cop movie overlayed with a great soundtrack. However, I did start to worry midway through the movie when looking at Mr. Lawrence’s eyes. His viscera looks like he is headed for liver failure. I sure hope not. Overall- the movie did what it set out to do- give the viewers an enjoyable experience at the theater. The plot wasn’t very strong. It made absolutely no sense for the retired Army person to suddenly show up to frame a dead man. Loosely constructed, if the effort was to pull out the evidence the dead Officer had- it would not have come to light. Mike Lowry is fighting his own demons. Marcus is dealing with health issues but the family unit is strong.
