Not for young kids, topic is more mature and main character actually used the word "sexy" and is shown sweating and turning red while drawing picture of herself kissing a boy (multiple pictures you will see once her mom discovers her "sexy" drawings)...let's see..was this before they showed midol and maxi pads for her period or after? I can't recall as I was in shock. Also majority of movie is how to disobey authority, sneak around your parents to get what you want and manipulate others around you for your gratification. Only 15 minutes in and I had to double check the rating to make sure it was PG. After watching the movie in full, it's not appropriate for a PG rating. I wish my kids and I had not seen the trailer because we were excited and then very disappointed. Not impressed and will not watch again.
