I hate it when characters do things - or don’t do things - that make no sense, whether in the moment or in terms of their personalities. Intelligent characters making smart decisions is what makes shows believable, allowing you to immerse yourself in the world and story. When plot armour is always intervening, it just shows lazy writing and a lack of ideas. The overall story is good, but so many lazy directing, writing and plot choices really detract from the joy of seeing these characters on screen again.
Ewan McGregor really phones it in as the lead and is outshone by both Vivien Lyra Blair (as princess Leia) and Moses Ingram (as Third Sister Reva), who brings a true intensity and powerful presence to her role.
