genuinely the worst horror film I’ve ever seen in my life. It was scary at first but was then ruined by the “babadook” being shown to us as some weird almost comedic looking circus freak. It could’ve been scarier if he was maybe portrayed as a shadowy figure but alas. Also why was the 6 year old child the one to have to guide his mother on how to defeat this evil spirit😭 ALSO why did she keep it as a pet in her basement and feed it WORMS. If you wanna have a laugh. Watch this film. If ur looking for something scary don’t bother. Ignore all the reviews saying it’s terrifying and that it’s a “psychological” thriller. The only psychological part of this movie is the mother’s clear schizophrenia.
