This was a very sad but empowering documentary to watch. Those brothers stood up for what was theirs although it ended up causing them 8 years of their life.
The sister was right, white people can just take what they want or make a statement and no one questions it all because the color of their skin. White privilege at its finest.
I will always teach my son to fight for what is his and what is right. I wanted to see more and I feel like there should be a part 2. Questions that come to my mind are, will the family sue the wack justice system? Will the people who stole their land be prosecuted? How much land do they currently still have and it’s it protected? Please make a part 2.
I encourage anyone to watch this documentary as it is proof of how African American people are still being treated unfairly in the “land of the free.” I hope this family is truly compensated for all the wrong doings to steal their land.
