Did the studio pay off a bunch of people and critics to write rave reviews about it. Hardly any back story to any characters besides oppenheimer and even that's little. Most characters have ZERO emotions. The film jumps around way too many times and why it stays on 1 timeliness it makes leaps in time as well wo little explanation and or storytelling. As a history buff this was sorely missed. And then he takes a left turn at the side piece by having her look murdered. The movie is all dialogue no action. And numerous shots away from the picture like the nuclear reaction of the A bomb and they do this numerous times and make oppenheimer seem like a very troubled individual along side his wife and mistress as well as other supporting cast members. the film also just jumps into scenes where u have no idea what they are talking about and no context clues are given to help explain. I love history and I knew most scenes but average film goer would be totally lost. Movie always drags and just over all flat characters. Nolans wrost movie to date, even behind tenet.
