Did not like the switching between the eras ie 70s and 90s. Music always too loud. Too many charcters looked like each other and I had to keep trying to think who was who, especially with time differences which changed all their looks as well. I was always asking myself Is that X or Y, or is it X/Y just looking older/younger? Switching back and forth in time added nothing. The build up of the step father who wouldn't give DNA and the suggestion he might have done it led nowhere and was a flop. So was the death of the true suspect a flop. I don't know why BBC bothered with the story, knowing that no family would get justice/closure at the end and nobody would be found guilty. total anticlimax..
BBC, take a leaf out of ITV's book. I watched this because 'A Confession' was so compelling, drew you in, you got into the characters' lives. There was trial and justice was dealt. When it went back or forth in time it showed the month and year clearly on the screen. BBC,The Sixth Commandment was BRILLIANT. You should have made this like that.
