If I had the choice, it would be no stars at all. Reading all the other comments from people who equally were dissatisfied with this horrid portrayal of Judy Garland, I feel justified. When I first saw the headline about this movie. I thought, who in the heck would ever use Renee Z to portray Judy Garland. I am almost 70, so I grew up on Judy Garland movies. I was deeply offended and disturbed by Renee Z's so-called performance. Renee was hideous. Her so called mimicry of Judy's later stage performances, were like watching someone having an epileptic fit, or some sort of spastic seizure. Renee Z's performance was an insult to Judy Garland's memory. Obviously, Renee is too young to remember Judy's life, and what an amazing and deep person she was. Shame on you Renee, and shame on the people who wrote this script, and directed and produced this travesty. Win an award?! What a joke, and so are the apparently are awards these days. I guess they give them to people who obscenely overact. Nothing to do with talent, or originality I guess.
