Definitely one of the best albums Mon has produced through out the years of her career as an artist.
"1940 Carmen" really deference from the album "SEIS" in which Laferte was trying reach a more mexican sound for her songs bringing the folklore of that culture.
With "1940 Carmen" it's really the opposite, while she was trying to get pregnant in Los Angeles, she decide to produce an album. She produce all the songs and artwork. And, in my opinion this album has a more softer sound and the lyrics of the songs are about experiences Mon had while staying in Los Angeles.
11/10 for Mon.
