I loved Rebels and Clone Wars. I remember watching the end of Rebels and thinking they MUST finish this story! I don’t absolutely hate Ashoka. It’s just so slow. They are up to episode 6 and they’ve had 2 episodes worth of story. I also don’t think Rosario Dawson (amazing actress 25th hour, Clerks 2, Daredevil) is the best choice for Ashoka. Either that or she’s getting terrible direction. She’s playing the character as a cookie cutter Jedi, not the girl who called the Jedi out on their BS and hypocrisy. I also take issue with Sabine being a Padawan without the force. It’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s so out of left field it distracts from the entire show. It feels like the ultimate participation trophy. Rebels had a really moving ending. Ezra banishing himself to get rid of Thrawn was incredible! I was like “It can’t end this way!” I was so excited when I found out they were continuing the story. I hope Ashoka is going somewhere but it’s pretty disappointing so far.
