Nope...Nunt huh...No way. I'm diving in as if this was IRL.
I'm going to start off by saying Mom, has no responsibility over her kids. She is their friend not their mother. She lets her 10 to 12 year-old wonder the town by himself and stay home by himself. Even after danger keeps finding its way to the family. Bodie, "that kid is absolutely infurating!". He definitely doesn't like taking no for an answer. I know he's just a young kid, but again, he does what he wants to do when he wants to do it, no matter the costs and promises he makes to his family. It's just so weird how he is supposed to be portrayed as this very intelligent older than what he actually seems kind of kid, but makes absolutely ridiculous decisions. Just for some odd reason, this gets under my skin. Perhaps that's the father in me. Makes you kind of wonder if the director or writer had kids for themselves when they were writing this. I can only speak for myself and for the friends around me growing up, but no way would my mother let me go anywhere I wanted to, when I wanted to, and when I wanted to come back... Especially in a brand new environment.
Now as it goes for the series, absolutely amazing! The plot is absolutely amazing and above all, the actors are above amazing as well.
The series was very much well shot and it was easy to invest emotionally to the series. As in, okay so this is what I would do in this particular situation in this particular moment. Very easy to get caught up in. It really makes it feel as if you were there seeing this for yourself. There is just so so much more positive things that I could say about this series.
It is definitely worth investing your time and emotions in Locke & Key! I hope there's more series just like it.
All opinions and statements are of my own and may not sit well with others, but it's just me in my opinion only. Thanks and enjoy the series!
