It's Lane singing his own Eulogy and haunting, emotional, deep, barely fit as descriptive terms. One of the greatest live performances ever recorded this evening was... Right up there with Fillmore East, Unplugged in N.Y., Frampton Comes Alive, Cash at Folsom, Live Bullet, James Brown at the Apollo '63, and one of the Granddaddies of them all.... Elvis live Madison Square Gardens '72. It is their finest performance and a truly exploratory experience.

The only album I can positively say I have 'studied' in great depth and have invested more time in headphones as an adult to this than any other I can think of. It is absolutely one of the most important albums in my entire existence, nearing 50 yrs of age, having brought me through "the bottom" of life and what it can do to a person a handful of times. This masterpiece of music and thought, observation, and actions is one for the ages. If a song like Poles Apart can do for me what it does then there is always hope. I know what/who it's about but man, it hits hard personally. 28 years now is a long time to be healing to one album, but it has timeless medicine..... big love for Dave and the boys. I am eternally grateful for this invaluable masterpiece. Seriously.
