Despite a phenominal cast, old ladies doing bad things is not at all funny. As a senior citizen I am offended.

A must watch. They really needed to knock it out of the park to overcome a plot that is stale and overdone but they did it. Very well executed. Rebecca Wisocky steals the show.

I stopped watching after 2 episodes. Moves painfully slowly for one thing. I didn't understand Becky's motivation. Other than not liking her life, which is most of us, I had no clue what made her take these risks. Missing the "why" the whole rest of the plot fell flat. Would have benefitted from more character development up front.

The casting, acting and atmosphere are excellent, but they couldn't overcome a bland storyline in which absolutely nothing happens. The entire plot can be summarized in one sentence: "A boy grows up."

I loved the idea of this movie, but the pace was so painfully slow as to become irritating. This has little to do with Cumberbatch, and more to do with the editing process. A shorter movie would have been fine. A slow pace can be ok if there's pretty scenery or witty conversation, but that wasn't the case here.

The writing is a bit corny and slapstick, but Ted Danson overcomes it brilliantly.

I'm not much of one to watch musicals on tv, but I liked the story line. Then I found myself watching the musical numbers instead of fast-forwarding thru them. They're really good.

I found the editing to be choppy. The transitions into flashbacks weren't well defined enough to relay that they weren't current. Confusing and hard to follow. Particularly if one hasn't read the book. Of course the art direction and wardrobe were spectacular. C+

Finally something to replace Modern Family.

Kaley Cuoco was worth watching. But the story was messy, choppy, and hard to follow. Would have been improved by leaving out lengthy hallucination scenes which weren't relevant to the plot anyway.
