Such an awful movie, don't waste your time if you don't want brain damage. Left the movie so angry and with such a bad feeling because of the horrible and rushed ending that had no place in the overall vibe of the film. Trust me, do yourself a favor and don't give in to the marketing and the wink because the entire film is disappointing in more than one way, be it having no direction or plot or just being plain boring and cringy. Keeping my braincells alive long enough to get through the film was such a daunting task on its own. The only credit I give this film is how it consistently managed to outperform itself from one random and out of place scene to another, until you finally have to face the boss of all cliched and nasty endings, the pathetic excuse of a climax this movie seems to boast. The concept was so promising, and they had the potential to be a lovely and meaningful coming of age film which I believe could've been one a kind in the malayalam film industry. Honorable mention to the heavily scattered misogyny throughout the film that promotes the idea of disrespecting, womanizing, and even everyday abuse from the hands of a 17 year old boy who happens to be the hero of the film! My only hope is that the boys and men who watch this movie don't think it's okay to practice the actions of the "hero" that go consistently unpunished and even forgiven and dismissed by the female lead. Tragic how this film used the degradation of women as cheap filler material to make up for a lack of plot.
One word, disappointing. Watched it almost 10 hours ago but I am still so angry.
