Incredibly moving. Stunning. Beautiful. My Octopus Teacher touched me on a level I can't put into words. The connection between a man, who previously had little sentiment towards animals, and this highly intelligent and curious being shows how we all have the capacity to transcend antiquated notions that animals are different from us. They aren't. Like humans, animals feel love and joy and pain and fear. Like us, they want to live and develop meaningful connections to others of their own species and beyond.
