I cannot believe that anyone who has read the book can give the Netflix series more than 1 star. If you have not read the book it's watchable, but if you have it's unbelievably bad - wrong, all so wrong. I could understand some tweaks in the transition from page to screen, but they have changed everything. I settled down to watch, so excited, I turned it off in 30 minutes. So sad.
