The combat system is unique and makes you think of what to try next to fell your opponent; however, after a while it becomes more button mashing as you try to keep up with your opponent.
The stages set are neat, but hardly unique, definitely standard amusement park style gaming with minimal freedom of movement or exploration. The environment feels lazy as well, if it was not meant to be destroyed then it will not budge. You can swing at bamboo trees and your weapon will deflect like your trying to cut stone, no realistic player to environmental interaction. In summary cheap corner cutting in this game. A unique combat system has it's merits but for me an interactive environment must be present to bring me truly into a game.
This game feels a lot like dark souls, like a carbon copy, only made worse by a blatantly lazy created storyline. Not impressed at all.
