Jump scare set up after jump scare set up. Granted, the scares are legit. There is an air of overimportance to it, though. It's as if they were ending some massive franchise of much-loved and revered films. The end is maudlin and overdone. But again, the scary stuff is scary. And there's Bill Hader. He's always excellent.
