Mani Rathnam has changed a few things from the book. Senthan Amuthan being the real Maduranthakar in the book , having that twist in the movie at the end would have confused the viewers if they have not read the book. So, I am ok with that deviation Mani did. I am also ok with the fact he brought in some action at the end, which fits into a Movie style rather than how the book ended. I think the scenes between VanthiaThevan and Kundavai and between Karikalan and Nandini were filmed very well. Main actors have done a splendid job. All in all I am more than satisfied with the movie. It is a proud moment for the Tamils all over the world.
