Superhero acting at its finest. Stan Lee would be proud of this latest Spiderman action film. The multiverse concept allowed for the entrance of past heroes and villains into one movie. However, I would have preferred a slightly different action story within the film. For instance, the entrance of Tobey and Andrew was a little lack luster and could have been more timely (I.e., during an intense battle scene rather than as Ned’s grandmother is getting ready for bed). Also, the director did not seem to know whether to make old villains “good” or keep them “evil.” It reminded me of the conflict of Anakin Skywalker, only with too much indecision and rapid shifting. A new villain or set of villains would have been a great way to allow doc oc, green goblin, and sandman to join forces with the trio of Spiderman, if that is what the director was thinking. Overall, it was a very good movie, but not as good as avengers end game.
