Wow, Sir Antony Hopkins his portrayal of a father with dementia absolutely standing ovation. An insight of a family struggling with a loved one with this terrible disease dementia. Once a strong loving father becomes the dependent fearful one. The devoted daughter experiencing every day the anguish of losing her father a little bit more. I work in this kind of environment I observe the fear anger & loss it is heart-wrenching I think this film should be used in training for new carers as it is insightful and gives the carer an idea of what to expect from working with the elderly with dementia. It is truly heartbreaking it made me cry Feeling all of the emotion Sir Antony Hopkins portrayal of this complex character bravo to his tremendous account. The kindly nurse held him in her arms as he cries for his mum. something I have done many times before. It is such an eye-opener to the life of a person with dementia. Well done for expertly made & executed beautifully.

I remember watching this film when I was a kid I really invested in the plot. Tonight I watched it 38 years later & I was just as invested. Johnny a humble man so beautiful inside & out I highly recommend watching it just for the experience of being swept away. Johnny/Christian Walken is an absolutely incredible actor even when he isn't speaking he has such a massive presence that fills a room. In my opinion one of the greats.

The original wrong turn was ok.The ones which followed were predictable quite frankly boring. I decided to give this wrong turn a go I have to say it held my attention pleasantly surprised I liked following the plot. The acting was not bad. A good amount of jumps along the way. The ending was really good Overall not a bad film at all.
