Is anyone else wondering how they can even pretend this is based on the book?! I mean, the characters resemble those in the book, but the plot is entirely different and almost unrecognizable. I found the book difficult to embrace at first and the show lacks any of the redeeming qualities of the book (that come from her impeccable writing style). Hard pass!
