With the addition of Ahsoka to the the Star Wars catalog, the final nails of the coffin have been hammered in. Star Wars, one of the most beloved universes of all time is officially dead.
The series moves slowly, is terribly written, and despite having excellent actors in it they are unable to give a decent performance with the tools they were given. They have taken characters I have loved from Canon novels like Thrawn and spit out cheap imitations with absolutely no redeeming qualities. Essentially spitting in the face of fans who were excited to see the extended universe come into live action.
Thrawn for instance is supposed to be a brilliant military admiral that knows all about the various cultures of the galaxy by studying their art. In Ahsoka he is a fat old man that is constantly relying on others to fix his mistakes. He makes stupid choices again and again only to proclaim them as smart afterwards.....just saying something is clever does not make it so.
Overall watching any of the characters is brutally boring and I find myself rolling my eyes frequently. Half the time they take 10 minutes to say something they could have done in 1, or they are just staring off into space pointlessly.
