Turned it off after five minutes. Pedophilia is not a joke and not something to be taken lightly. I’m disgusted at the comedic portrayal of RAPE in the first couple of scenes of this film. Absolutely not watching an Adam sandler film ever again.

Turned it off after 10 minutes. If they’d just explained themselves properly after hitting the guy, there wouldn’t be a film.

I can’t deny that I enjoyed the film, but the moral element of it doesn’t exist. What woman would choose money over love? And then believe that the man with money actually values you more than your husband, even though he literally bought you? The end was silly aswell. Woodys character must have seriously low self esteem and be super desperate to even consider taking her back!

30 minutes in and Jane Fonda’s character is extremely annoying. I suppose it matches the premise of the film but she is really jarring- even the husband seems irritated by her

Interesting story with a silly and lazy ending.

I initially thought the concept was captivating, but the ending is ridiculous. You don’t find out what the truth is. It’s an attempt to be mysterious but it just comes off as lazy writing. Like, is he really her ex? Has she really been kidnapped? How on earth did the guy manage to survive being stabbed several times? Why couldn’t she walk up the stairs if she could walk like 2 days ago? Too many unanswered questions and missing links. It’s like they had a brilliant idea for a movie and couldn’t come up with an interesting ending, so wrote one out in 5 seconds and stuck with it. Really disappointing. Actors were excellent though.
