Dharma durai is an intense topic told in a light hearted way. I saw its dubbed Hindi version, so of course I cannot comment on the music. But the movie is a masterpiece. Vijay Sethupathi is gem of an actor. He is ably supported by Tamanna and others. The movie touches so many topics. The ragging in medical Colleges, dowry, women empowerment, ponzy chit fund schemes and it's dangers, forced abortion by dominant well educated husband, alcoholism and so on.
Vijay has portrayed Dharma so beautifully that you can't believe he has to wait so long for the north to recognise his talent. He acts so naturally. Even when he has no dialogues, he can convey so much. His face is like a mirror. You can see all the emotions so clearly. I really pity so many Bollywood stars who can't convey a single emotion properly. Tamanna is also very good. She had lot of scope to show her skills and she did a wonderful job.
Guys.. go for it. Especially my north Indian friends. It's a treat to watch. When the movie ends, you actually want it to continue.
