I'll preface this by saying that this is my personal opinion and mine alone. A pointless, fantasy story about selfish and unsympathetic people. A whiny Adam Sandler ( so what's new?) in a dull and unlikable role. Not to mention the others who, all appeared to be quite sad and miserable through this adventure. If the makers were shoveling money into the project, as they always seem to do, why didn't they spend it wisely to create a convincing KEY physical visual effect that, to me, turned out looking like a reject from the Children's Television Workshop/Sesame Street Puppet workshop? To the creatives at the studio: learn from what came before and build from it. Will they care? Absolutely not. Unlike the many who seem to revel in in this tale, I'm definitely in the minority here and I found this to be a lackluster, boring waste of time. Maybe I missed the point completely - if there was a point.
